Do I need to prepare for an abdominal ultrasound?
Yes. For a complete abdominal or gallbladder study, please avoid food and water for at least 8 hours beforehand. For renal/bladder studies, drink 32 oz of water 45 minutes prior and arrive with a full bladder.
