What we scan

Every study, at your door

Every study is performed on location and interpreted by a board-certified radiologist within 24 hours.

DVT studies and the second-trimester anatomy scan require a physician’s order. Full list on the scans and pricing page.

Why Solana Beach chooses UltraVision

Private, unhurried, and done right

ARDMS-Certified Sonographer

Your scan is performed by an ARDMS-certified sonographer with more than 15 years of clinical experience.

24-Hour Report Turnaround

Your report arrives within 24 hours through a secure portal, with delivery straight to your physician’s office on request.

Board-Certified Radiologist

Every study is interpreted and signed by a board-certified radiologist before the report reaches you or your doctor.

Concierge Home Visits

We arrive at your home, office or hotel anywhere in Solana Beach on a scheduled appointment day, with no waiting room and no parking garage.

Private by Design

One patient, one sonographer, one unhurried appointment, in your own space and on your schedule.

No Referral Needed

Most studies — abdominal, thyroid, breast, vascular, men’s and women’s health — can be booked without a physician order. Only DVT studies and the second-trimester anatomy scan require one.

Everything in the chain is here except the picture

You can get your blood drawn in Solana Beach. You can get a concierge physician, hormone work, IV therapy, a dermatologist, a sauna. What you cannot get inside the city limits is the imaging — the one step in the whole preventive sequence that still requires leaving.

There is imaging nearby, and we will happily tell you where it is. What there isn’t, anywhere close, is imaging that comes to you, needs no referral, publishes its price, and turns a report around in 24 hours. More than half of this town is over 45 and a good share of them are still working. Every imaging option within reach closes at five.

So we come at 7:30 in the morning, or at four in the afternoon, to a house on Lomas Santa Fe or an office on Cedros.

Good to know

Solana Beach questions, answered

Is there an imaging center in Solana Beach?
No — and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. Solana Beach has excellent primary care and lab services, but no ultrasound suite inside the city. The nearest options are a short drive: a radiology suite on Via de la Valle just south, and two imaging centers on North El Camino Real in Encinitas. All of them are open weekdays, roughly 8 to 5, and all of them will want a physician’s order before they scan you.
So why use you instead?
Because the problem in Solana Beach is not distance, it is access. A referral, an authorization, a weekday appointment during working hours, a waiting room, and a separate step to get results. We remove all five: no referral for most studies, a time that suits you, at your own address, with the written report in your hands within 24 hours.
Do you come up the hill to Lomas Santa Fe?
Yes — anywhere in 92075. Lomas Santa Fe and the Estates, Santa Fe Hills, Eden Gardens, the Bluffs, Isla Verde, Del Mar Shores Terrace, and the Cedros district. The equipment is fully portable; we need a room with space to lie down.
Can you scan my parent at their senior community?
Usually yes, with the community’s agreement. Scanning someone in their own apartment rather than moving them to an imaging center is often the entire reason families call us, particularly for abdominal, renal and vascular studies.
Do I need a referral?
For most studies, no. DVT studies and the second-trimester anatomy scan require a physician’s order and are booked by phone. Everything else — carotid, aortic, abdominal, thyroid, renal, pelvic, breast, scrotal, soft tissue — you can book directly.
Do you scan the heart?
No. We perform vascular ultrasound — carotid arteries, abdominal aorta, renal and peripheral vessels — not echocardiography. Cardiac echo belongs with a cardiologist. What we can measure is arterial wall thickness, plaque and aortic diameter.
What does it cost?
Individual studies are $375–$525, published before you book. Bundles: $625 Cardiovascular Screening (carotid duplex with CIMT plus abdominal aortic aneurysm screening), $895 Women’s Wellness, $1,295 Complete Longevity. We are cash-pay and do not bill insurance, which is exactly what lets us skip the authorization step.
