Vascular studies for Placerville patients

No referral needed except for DVT studies.

Carotid duplex + CIMT

Doppler imaging of both carotid arteries in the neck — plaque, narrowing and blood flow — plus a carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) measurement, an early marker of cardiovascular risk.

No prep neededBoth sides

AAA screening

Measures the abdominal aorta, the body’s largest artery, to check for an aneurysm — a weakened, widened section that usually causes no symptoms until it is large.

Fast 8 hours beforehand

DVT — arms or legs

Checks the deep veins of the legs or arms for a blood clot. Because a clot can need prompt treatment, we perform DVT studies only with a referral — book online and we’ll confirm it before your visit.
